Mountain Biking

Glentanner Station is a mountain bikers dream! With nice scenic tracks for beginners, and steep slopes for the more advanced. Fantastic views of Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki. For permission please contact Ross or Helen Ivey on +64 3 4351843

Fishing

Glentanner Park is located at the head of Lake Pukaki – walking distance to the mouth of the Tasman River. A great place to try your luck at trout fishing!

Rods are available for hire at reception

$10 1/2 day hire

$20 full day hire

$7 lure hire

You may fish in Lake Pukaki anytime, however you may only fish in the Tasman River from November 1st through to April 30th each year.  You also need a fishing license. Licenses can be purchased at Glentanner Park reception.

Hunting

There are great opportunities for Thar and Chamois hunting in the Mount Cook area. Shooting permits must be obtained from park head quarters
