Tasman Delta Cafe, Restaurant and Catering at Glentanner

We are super excited to announce that the Tasman Delta Cafe, Restaurant and Catering is open at Glentanner! After one year with no operational cafe, this is very much welcomed by us all! Those staying in the holiday park, horse trekking, going on helicopter flights, and just dropping in can enjoy our spectacular views with a delicious coffee, snack or meal!

The owner/operators of Tasman Delta Cafe are Nicola and Greg, who also run Tekapo Catering. They hosted an opening evening on Tuesday 22nd October which was lots of fun, and a great chance for local operators and industry members to have a taste of what is to come. They were also able to see the revamps of the whole Glentanner Park Centre facility. Guests included Claire Barlow (Mackenzie District Council Mayor), and Rowan and Sheena from Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism. Check out the images of some of the delights we were served!

Nicola and Greg have some very exciting plans for the facility including themed nights, family nights weddings and other events. The first wedding will be on the 31st December 2013 (very exciting Emma!). They also hope to host Mt Cook, Twizel and Tekapo Residents. Tasman Delta is currently operational as a cafe, and come the busy summer season they will be extending more into a restaurant style. With a few wines under my belt at the opening evening I asked them what will be on the menu, and what sticks with me is ribs! Yum! I also tried a delicious 97% fat free smoothie – delicious!

The first day Tasman Delta opened their doors they served 50+ people – that is with no marketing. Once the word gets out how fantastic it is, it will be buzzing! All the best to Nicola and Greg we look forward to sharing the journey with you!
